This area is described in great detail in Randall Chapman’s guidebook, available through Junktown Guides (purchase your copy here)
If you have ventured up the ridge, you have probably noticed a gigantic boulder with a cavity beneath it. This is the “Hobo Castle” thanks to its popularity as a home for local transients. The site has long been an eyesore, given that the pile of trash is visible from the road.
The WCCC is partnering with the City of Grand Junction (the property owner) to remove this trash and clean up the area. We hope you will join us!!
