The Western Colorado Climbers Coalition (WCCC) is continuing its partnership with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) through participation in the Adopt A program. Each month, the WCCC selects a local bouldering or climbing area in Nine Mile Hill (Unaweep Canyon) to pick up trash, remove unauthorized fire rings and perform trail maintenance.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. Your participation helps keep our local climbing areas clean and demonstrates that rock climbers are an active user group in Unaweep and we are willing to pitch in to protect it for future users.
WHEN: Saturday, December 18 at 11am to 2pm
WHERE: Texas bouldering area in Nine Mile Hill (Unaweep Canyon)
Trash bags and trail tools will be provided.
Volunteers should bring closed toe shoes, gloves, water and snacks.
BE ADVISED...a post-cleanup bouldering session is a strong possibility!
